Aquatics Fall Staff (Lifeguards, Pool Attendants)Daniel Island Golf Club - Charleston, SC 29492OverviewLevel Entry Position Type Seasonal Education Level None Category Hospitality - HotelDescriptionLifeguard/Swim InstructorThe lifeguard/swim instructor is responsible for the prevention of accidents as well as the minimization and elimination of hazardous conditions in all Aquatics areas. In addition, the Lifeguard/Swim Instructor will demonstrate competency to teach and lead specific skills and activities in the water.Must possess CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer CertificationMaintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility.Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.Welcome/Pool AttendantThe welcome/pool attendant welcome guests to the pool facility and always be courteous and friendly to guests, be attentive to their needs, handle problems in a professional manner and are conscious of the importance of safety.Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging servicesWelcome guests to the pool facility and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experienceOversee the cleanliness and the daily upkeep of the pool, pool area, locker and change roomsEnsure guests are aware of all services and activities available at the poolEnsure an adequate supply of towels are available to guestAssist in promoting the facility and organizing special events as requiredMaintain pool deck cleanlinessQualifications16 years of age or olderPrevious guest service experience preferredCPR and First Aid certification preferredExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesFlexible availability including days, evening, weekends and summer holidays.Must be able to climb stairs and carrying items weighing 25 - 50 pounds.Good communication is important, as is being able to follow directions efficiently and meeting the physical demands of the job.Must be able to clearly communicate Member needs to other Staff Members.A positive attitude while on the job is also essential.
