Job description
Responsibilities: * Review construction documents to establish material selection and prepare technical project specifications. * Perform a QA/QC review of project documentation, redline construction documents prior to the project bid advertisement to minimize change orders. * Provide technical guidance through the construction document phase. * Prepare addenda during the project bidding period to clarify and modify the bid documents in accordance with NJ bidding law requirements. * Assists with scheduling lunch & learn seminars with manufacturer representatives to educate the technical staff about new and current products and systems. * Schedule and meet with manufacturer"s representatives to understand material and system changes and updates in the industry. * Bachelor"s degree in architecture * Minimum of 3 to 5 years" experience in editing / writing architectural specifications * Thorough understanding of building construction materials, methods, assemblies, systems, details, codes and construction techniques. * Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Familiar with the current IBC building code.
