District Armed Safety SpecialistLakeland Joint School District is accepting applications for an Armed District Safety Specialist. Position details include an 8-hour per day schedule, 5 days per week, and 190 days per year. Pay range is to be determined with DOE benefits including PERSI retirement, medical, dental, vision, and sick leave. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis to build a pool of highly qualified candidates for the Armed District Safety Specialist position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a background in law enforcement.Qualifications include a strong law enforcement background, ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure, and possession of an Enhanced Concealed Weapons Permit. Employment requirements include prior completion of a polygraph examination, psychological evaluation, physical fitness evaluation, and criminal background check.Application requirements consist of a district online application and resume, with successful completion of an extensive background check.
