Summary
nChenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking a professional and dependable Armed Security Guard to provide security services in support of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility. This position is responsible for protecting personnel, facilities, property, and assets through access control operations, security patrols, inspections, and enforcement of established security procedures.
nnThe ideal candidate is a disciplined security professional with strong observational skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to public safety. This role offers the opportunity to support critical government operations while contributing to the protection of federal personnel, resources, and infrastructure.
n nResponsibilities
nnnCommunicate effectively via radio, telephone, and in-person interactions.
n
nnProvide professional interaction and escort services for government personnel, visitors, contractors, and the public.
n
nnPerform access control and traffic control functions in accordance with established procedures.
n
nnConduct walking and motorized patrols to identify security concerns and unauthorized activities.
n
nnEnforce applicable security regulations, post orders, and standard operating procedures.
n
nnProtect government personnel, facilities, equipment, property, and resources.
n
nnConduct personnel, vehicle, building, and facility inspections.
n
nnPerform package and parcel inspections as required.
n
nnMonitor assigned areas for suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security risks.
n
nnComplete reports, logs, and required documentation accurately and timely.
n
nnSupport emergency response and incident management activities.
n
nnWork flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required.
n
nnPerform other duties as assigned.
n
n nQualifications
nnnHigh School Diploma or GED required.
n
nnPossess and maintain Armed Security Guard certification through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).
n
nnPossess an active Secret Clearance.
n
nnMust be at least 21 years of age.
n
nnCertified in the use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray.
n
nnCertified in the use of batons.
n
nnMinimum of one (1) year of experience with a civilian police agency, military police organization, security force, or related security organization.
n
nnPossess and maintain current CPR certification through the American Red Cross or equivalent approved provider.
n
nnMust successfully meet Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer, including:
n
nn1.5-mile run completed within 17 minutes and 30 seconds.
n
nn19 push-ups completed within two minutes.
n
nnMust successfully complete and pass the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI).
n
n nPreferred Qualifications:
nnnAssociate's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, or a related field.
n
nnExperience supporting Department of Defense or federal government security operations.
n
nnMilitary police, armed security, or law enforcement experience.
n
nnExperience working in controlled-access or high-security environments.
n
nnAdditional certifications in First Aid, emergency response, or security operations.
n
n nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
nnnKnowledge of physical security operations, access control procedures, and force protection principles.
n
nnStrong observation, communication, and decision-making skills.
n
nnAbility to prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation.
n
nnAbility to follow post orders, standard operating procedures, and government regulations.
n
nnAbility to interact professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.
n
nnProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
n
nnAbility to operate computers, radios, vehicles, and standard office equipment.
n
nnAbility to identify and respond appropriately to security concerns and emergencies.
n
nnAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
n

n nEstimated Salary/Wage
nUSD $31.05/Hr.
