Our approach combines a skilled security workforce with modern technology to deliver reliable and effective security solutions.Citiguard is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer committed to maintaining a diverse and professional workforce.Pay Rate: $27.00/hour Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday Work Location: In Person (School Setting)Position OverviewWe are seeking a professional, experienced, and dependable Armed CCW School Security Officer to provide security and protection in a school environment.The ideal candidate must have prior school security experience, excellent communication and observation skills, and the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, parents, and visitors.This position requires an active CCW permit, a personally owned firearm with required documentation, and appropriate duty equipment. All candidates must successfully complete a background check prior to employment.ScheduleMonday through FridayFull-timeDay ShiftSpecific hours will be discussed during the interview processOccasional schedule adjustments may be required based on school activities and operational needsResponsibilitiesProvide a safe, secure, and professional environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitorsMaintain a visible security presence throughout the assigned school campusMonitor entrances, exits, hallways, parking areas, and other designated areasEnforce school rules, security procedures, and company policies professionally and consistentlyMonitor and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, safety hazards, and security concernsRespond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergenciesAssist school administrators and staff with security-related concernsGather information and accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activitiesContact law enforcement, fire, medical, or other emergency personnel when necessaryMaintain awareness of activity throughout the campus and take appropriate action within the scope of training and authorityConduct routine security checks and inspections of assigned areasMaintain a professional and respectful relationship with students, staff, parents, and school personnelMaintain confidentiality regarding student, staff, and school informationFollow all applicable school, company, and security proceduresRequired QualificationsPrior school security experience is requiredMinimum of 4 years of security experience preferredValid BSIS Guard Card requiredValid California CCW permit requiredRequired firearms permits/certifications must be current and in good standingMust own and provide an approved personally owned firearm for duty useBill of Sale or other required firearm ownership documentation must be providedMust have a duty belt and appropriate firearm holsterValid Driver's License with a clean driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)Must successfully pass a comprehensive background checkMust demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, reliability, and strong communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a school security teamAbility to interact appropriately and professionally with students, faculty, administrators, parents, and visitorsRequired EquipmentCandidates must be prepared to provide their own required duty equipment, including:Personally owned firearm approved for the assignmentRequired firearm ownership documentation, including Bill of Sale where applicableAppropriate duty beltApproved duty holsterOther required security equipment as specified by the company and clientAll firearms and equipment must comply with applicable California law, licensing requirements, company policy, and school/client requirements.Background CheckAll applicants will be required to successfully complete a background check before being approved for employment.Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable licensing, certification, background-check, and client requirements.Professional ExpectationsBecause this position is located in a school environment, the selected candidate must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, patience, discretion, and responsibility.The ideal candidate understands that school security requires both strong security awareness and excellent interpersonal skills.
