Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Level III Armed Security in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access, conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related incidents, and help to deter unwanted activity. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
Day Time Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology and media location, including business areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document relevant security-related activities.
Report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least 3 years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, or Armed Security Professional, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
Type at least 40 words per minute.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
