Job Description
As a Armed Security Officer - Full Time in Ventura, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. Day Time Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed by site procedures.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access to government property, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs documenting incidents, patrols, observations, and interactions with the public.
Minimum Requirements:
At least two years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
