Armed Security Officer - Highway 6 NAs an Armed Security Officer - Highway 6 N in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. Join Allied Universal's agile, reliable team, where a caring culture, teamwork, innovation, and integrity guide every interaction.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $22.00 / Hour21+ Years of Age (C101) Active Armed Guard Card/License Valid Driver's License 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security ExperienceJob Schedule:Day TimeWed 11:00 AM - 05:30 PMThur 11:00 AM - 11:30 PMFri 11:00 AM - 11:30 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.Respond to incidents, including disturbances, medical situations, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations, in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, exterior perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized activity.Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and unusual incidents in accordance with site procedures.Maintain required armed post qualifications, complete accurate activity and incident reports, and work collaboratively with store leadership and law enforcement personnel when needed.Minimum Requirements:Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.ClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
