As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care. Pay Rate: $20.76 / Hour
Job Schedule:
Day Time Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for restricted areas, helping to maintain an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site-specific policies.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
