Armed Officers in Los Angeles Area$23–$25/hrAEGIS Security & Investigations is hiring experienced armed security officers. This position focuses on crime prevention, customer service, and maintaining a safe environment for clients and guests. Immediate openings available.Primary Roles:Crime and violence prevention, and customer serviceAssisting with the functions of physical and personal security, and safety measures for clientsPatrolling the work site on foot to prevent and detect signs of intrusions and ensure security of all entry points of the propertyWriting reports of daily activities and irregularitiesPerforming access control proceduresInvestigating disturbances and answering alarmsCirculating among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect propertyResponding to on site emergenciesConducting pat down and metal detecting searchCommunicating and enforcing applicable law, policy, and codesInteracting with colleagues, supervisors, clients, client employees, visitors, and other persons at the work siteMinimum Requirements:California Guard Card (BSIS permit), Firearms Permit (BSIS permit), and Chemical Agent40 hours of BSIS training courses and most recent annual refresherOne-two years of experience in high end security, military, or law enforcementA GED or High School Diploma / Transcript & Associates Degree or some verifiable college (preferred)Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodationHave excellent ENGLISH verbal and written skillsHave a neat professional appearanceHave access to reliable transportationHave a track record of being ON-TIME to work and having integrity in your workA cell phone that receives text messages and has access to the internet as well as an email addressOwn a black business suit, white button down dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, and dress shoes or shined boots, and a small flashlightAvailability, Pay & Perks:$23–$25/hrSchedule: M-F 2p-6pmSecurity Agents typically work as needed 12-50 hours a week throughout the county (including mandatory weekend nights) and are offered full time regular positions after probationArmed Guard pay ranges $23-25/hr depending on experience, qualifications, and the assignmentPaid accrued sick leaveHoliday pay for specific holidays401(k), health, vision, dental and life insurance available after applicable waiting periodFree and or paid specialized training opportunities offered through AEGIS and our partnersPromotional opportunities may be available for the right individualsAbout AEGIS Security & Investigations in Los Angeles:AEGIS was founded in 2007 with the goal of improving the synergy between customers and security operationsAEGIS has grown to include a wide spectrum of high end security services including hospitality, retail, special events, executive protection, estate security, and schoolsWe also provide specialized training, consulting and expert witness services, and private investigationsWe have an ongoing need for armed and unarmed guards with active, reserve, and veteran military personnel and law enforcement experience.
