Armed Security Officer (Kings Point NY)Job Purpose: The Armed Security Officer at SERVEXO, located in Kings Point, NY, is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises and personnel. This role involves maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols.Key Responsibilities:Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances, providing assistance to emergency services as needed.Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.Escort or drive motor vehicles to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors, ensuring a positive and professional experience.Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams when necessary.Maintain a high level of vigilance and readiness to respond to any security threats or breaches.Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.Job Type: Full time, part-timeHourly rate: $31.21H&W rate: 7.73Schedule: Day, Swing, GraveQualifications:Required Education/Certification/License:High school diploma or equivalentValid SPO Armed LicenseCPR CertificationBaton CertificationCertificate of Firearms trainingValid Driver's LicenseMust be a U.S. CitizenMust be at least 21 years of ageRequired Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a security or law enforcement role.Previous experience working as an armed security officer is preferred.Familiarity with security protocols and emergency procedures.Required Skills and Abilities:Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.Strong observational and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in using security equipment and technology.Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must have a valid state-issued armed security license.Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for extended periods and patrolling designated areas.
