As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a government corrections location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to site needs. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. Deliver exceptional customer service and communication while embodying our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven values.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $21.50 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeThur 05:45 AM - 06:00 PMFri 05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSat 05:45 AM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals at a government corrections location while carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, observations, and patrols in required reports.Communicate professionally with facility personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns and incident response.Minimum Requirements:A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.An armed guard card or license is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
