We are a growing organization with core values based firmly on our Native Hawaiian roots embodying integrity, quality, commitment to excellence, sense of community, and family values.DutiesAs an Armed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of stakeholders and the facility. Your responsibilities will include:Enforcing access control measures to permit entry only to authorized individuals, packages, and vehiclesOperating walk-through and hand-held metal detectors, as well as x-ray machines, to screen individuals and itemsConducting thorough vehicle inspectionsIdentifying and addressing security threats according to established protocolsPreventing, detecting, and apprehending individuals attempting unauthorized access or violating lawsExecuting emergency closure procedures and providing security assistance during crisesConducting roving guard services and perimeter/interior patrols to identify security breaches and unsafe conditionsDelivering exceptional customer service to facility employees and visitorsOperating in the Security Operations Center (SOC) as the central command, control and communication hub for the facility.Monitoring and operating various security systems, including intrusion detection, surveillance, and access control systemsAssist with Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card enrollment, issuance, and programming.Performing emergency responses, including CPR, AED, and first aid, as neededMaintaining accurate reports, records, and logsWillingness to work evenings, overnights, and weekends as requiredUtilizing weapons when necessary, following established guidelines.RequirementsExperienceMinimum of 2 years of armed security experience within the past five years ORMinimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience in full-duty status with a full-service police department within the US, with a good standing resignation or retirement ORMinimum of 2 years of honorable service as a member of any US Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve service.EducationHigh school diploma or GED.QualificationsMinimum age requirement: 21 yearsUS citizenship or lawful permanent residency for current members of the U.S. Armed Services or individuals with an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. MilitaryMust be able to obtain the applicable background clearanceMust possess valid NCPPSB licenseProficiency with firearmsAbility to obtain favorable verification through the E-Verify systemFluent in spoken, written, and comprehended EnglishPossession of a current State-issued Driver's LicenseAbility to handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficientlyProfessional demeanor and appearanceExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsTeam-oriented and safety-consciousHigh level of ethics and integrityOther RequirementsSuccessful completion of Medical/Physical examination and Drug testing with favorable resultsSuccessful completion of New Hire Academy trainingSuccessful passing of firearms qualifications.Physical/Mental Requirements and Working EnvironmentCandidates must be able to:Stand and walk for extended periodsWork outdoors in various weather conditionsWork extended shifts and overtime when necessary.HTS is an EEO employer: D/V/M/G
