As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and assist with access control. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $23.34 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeMon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PMTue 08:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed 08:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur 08:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri 08:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as assigned, documenting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.Prepare clear, accurate reports related to patrols, incidents, observations, and response activities.Minimum Requirements:Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.Access control and badge experience is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
