Job Description
As a Armed Security Officer Shipyard Full Time Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This role offers the opportunity to support a mission-focused environment while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Day Time Tue 05:00 AM - 01:30 PM Wed 05:00 AM - 01:30 PM Thur 05:00 AM - 01:30 PM Fri 05:00 AM - 01:30 PM Sat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering controlled areas in accordance with site requirements.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A valid firearms permit is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
