Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Burgaw, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed credentials. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour
Job Schedule:
Day Time Tue 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to facility staff, residents, visitors, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, document visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
