As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $21.50 / HourJob Schedule:Day Time Wed 05:45 AM - 06:00 PMThur 05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSat 05:45 AM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity.Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly, maintaining professional communication with staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals.Minimum Requirements:Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
