As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $21.50 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeWed 05:45 PM - 06:00 AMFri 05:45 PM - 06:00 AMSat 05:45 PM - 06:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a government corrections location.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.Monitor and control access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and emergency response procedures.Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities.Minimum Requirements:Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.An armed guard card or license is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
