Through rigorous training, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding people and assets, we set the benchmark for excellence in security operations.Position OverviewThe Armed Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations while complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesProvide continuous security coverage through foot patrols, stationary posts, and surveillance monitoring during assigned shiftsMaintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure safety of people and propertyRespond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and incidents, including running short distances when necessaryPerform defensive or restraint techniques when required and in accordance with training and policySafely carry, draw, and operate a firearm in compliance with all legal and training requirementsMaintain alertness and responsiveness throughout long or overnight shiftsMake sound decisions in high-stress, physically and mentally demanding situationsObserve, assess, and report suspicious activity using strong situational awareness and peripheral visionOperate security equipment including radios, flashlights, surveillance systems, and CCTVPrepare clear, accurate, and legible written reports using a computer or mobile deviceMaintain a clean, professional work environment and appearanceWear required body armor or protective equipment for extended periods as neededPhysical & Sensory RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periodsAbility to sit for extended periods when assigned to stationary postsAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 poundsScheduleWednesday - Thursday; 7 on 7 off; 12 hr shiftsQualifications & RequirementsMust be 21 years of ageNRA Basic Pistol Certification & Agent ID - or ability to attainFirearm, Holster & Mag Pouch - Level 2 or abovePrior experience in law enforcement, the military or security preferredMust be legally eligible to carry a firearmCompletion of all state and/or municipal mandated firearms trainingMust pass a federal background check & a drug screenAbility to remain calm, professional, and composed in stressful or emergency situationsWhat We OfferCompensation: $17/hrArmed Licensing Sponsorship Program: Liberty Defense Group will cover the upfront cost of your required Armed Guard Card and Agent ID.
