Job description

Abatement Worker – Eco Safe Abatement (Denver, Colorado)Eco Safe Abatement is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Abatement Worker to join our growing team in Denver, Colorado. We are dedicated to providing environmentally responsible abatement services and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.Position: Abatement WorkerLocation: Denver, ColoradoEmployment Type: Full-TimeKey Responsibilities:Safely remove and dispose of hazardous materials (asbestos, lead, mold, etc.) from buildings and structures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulationsPrepare work areas by setting up containment barriers, ventilation, and decontamination unitsUse hand and power tools for material removal and site preparationPackage and label hazardous waste for transport and disposal.Maintain accurate documentation of abatement processes and waste disposal.Clean and decontaminate work sites, tools, and equipment using HEPA vacuums and approved methodsWear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, for extended periodsCommunicate effectively with supervisors, safety managers, and project managers to ensure project goals and safety standards are metPerform occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and other physically demanding tasksAdhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.Experience working in construction or environmental remediation preferredAbility to wear PPE and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periodsStrong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to safety.Preferred Skills:Valid Worker or Supervisor Certification for asbestos abatement, in accordance with Colorado state and federal regulationsMinimum 1 year of experience in abatement (asbestos, lead, or mold removal)Additional certifications in hazardous materials handling (e.g., OSHA, lead safety, HAZWOPER)Experience with air monitoring and environmental compliance reportingFamiliarity with a variety of abatement projects (residential, commercial, industrial)Benefits:Competitive hourly wage based on experience and certification.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement savings plan.Paid time off and holidays.Opportunities for overtime and professional development.Eco Safe Abatement is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
