ASCP Certified Medical AssistantMoundridge, KS $32,009 - $42,099 a yearFull TimeJoin a compassionate healthcare team providing essential support to patients under the guidance of physicians, therapists, and nursing staff. This role involves performing clerical duties and delivering patient care across all age groups, from newborns to the elderly, in a dynamic regional healthcare setting in the Midwest.Essential ResponsibilitiesComplete timely and accurate documentation following organizational policies.Demonstrate skills and knowledge to provide quality patient care as outlined in department competencies and procedures.Perform clerical tasks as assigned to support clinical operations.Maintain compliance with privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).Foster effective communication and professional relationships with patients, team members, physicians, and external agencies.Carry out additional duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceNo formal education or experience required; however, previous exposure to a medical environment is preferred.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.Preferred certifications include Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Home Health Aide (HHA).Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) certification (ASCP) is a plus.Skills and AbilitiesModerate computer proficiency.Effective communication skills.Basic medical terminology knowledge.Ability to remain calm under pressure.Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.Physical RequirementsOccasional heavy lifting up to 100 lbs and frequent lifting up to 20 lbs.Standing or walking for 51-75% of the workday.This position offers competitive pay and a generous benefits package within a supportive healthcare environment serving the broader Midwest region.
