Medical Laboratory Scientist – MLS / CLS Certification

Ignite Your Passion for Precision in a Dynamic Lab: Join an Innovative Diagnostic Team in Beantown

Overview We're on the lookout for a devoted Medical Laboratory Scientist who is eager to blend curiosity with precision, dedicated to elevating patient care through meticulous testing of samples. In this full-time, first-shift opportunity at a thriving community hospital in the bustling streets of Boston, you'll play a vital role in delivering life-altering diagnostic outcomes. You will collaborate with an inspiring team, all backed by a comprehensive rewards package aimed at nurturing your professional journey and well-being.

Description – What Your Days Will Entail

Conduct both routine and advanced clinical laboratory assays—spanning chemistry, hematology, immunology, and many others—adhering to established protocols.

Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.

Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis when required.

Document all processes meticulously, mentor new employees or interns, and contribute to maintaining our laboratory's quality standards.

Ensure a sanitary, safe working space while complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a related allied health qualification, ideally alongside ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certification Needed

ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of hire.

Maintain current certification throughout your tenure.

Skills Required

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to facilitate effective teamwork.

Proficient in independent judgment and problem-solving under pressure or stress.

High-level organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in quality control and documentation.

Employee Benefits

Attractive compensation that reflects experience and qualifications.

Comprehensive competitive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.

Generous paid time off starting from day one, plus vacation and holiday provisions with credit for experienced hires.

Opportunities for continuing education and support for professional advancement.

A robust total rewards framework, emphasizing your overall wellness.

Transforming Lives Through Numbers

Your work in the lab becomes a catalyst for doctors' decisions—and ultimately, for improving patient lives. A single slide can confirm an infection leading to proper antibiotic use; another test might reveal a metabolic dysfunction long before visible symptoms arise. Your commitment ensures that the accuracy needed by physicians, nurses, and patients is met daily.

A Culture Built on Team Spirit

This position is more than just a job; it's an invitation to be part of a collaborative community. You'll engage with a team committed to continuous enhancement of procedures. Regular in-lab gatherings, competency reviews, and process improvement initiatives cultivate an environment where every idea is valued. Join committees, suggest improvements, and provide mentorship to newcomers.

Emerging Epicenter of Life and Culture

Envision yourself in a thriving city where history blends seamlessly with modern vibrancy. Boston, with its charming neighborhoods and rich cultural landscape, offers tree-lined streets filled with coffee shops and historic markets. Enjoy the weekend at outdoor concerts or stroll along the waterfront, watching as sailboats glide across the bay. The local community is warm and inviting, embodying a sense of togetherness that extends into healthcare, making you feel right at home.

Your days off can be filled with explorations in art galleries, cozy bookstores, or perhaps a fresh catch at the bustling farmer's market. Commutes are manageable as direct connections to transit systems make it easy to navigate the city. The cost of living remains viable, allowing you to enjoy weekend getaways, artsy events, and local sports games without financial strain.

Driving Change, Building Excellence

In this vibrant metropolis, every lab technician is more than just a technician—they represent a crucial element of community health. You will witness your contributions creating ripples: quicker diagnoses, enhanced care, more satisfied patients, and sustainable practices. Cheerful messages of gratitude echo not only your accurate lab work but the appreciation felt for the essential services you provide.

Now Is Your Moment to Shine in the Lab

If you are in pursuit of more than just a paycheck—if you are inspired by purpose, personal development, and making a community impact—this role is destined for you. Whether you're a recent graduate or seasoned in the field, leave your mark in an organization that fosters growth, embraces challenges, and opens doors.

Are You Ready to Embark on a New Adventure? Join a setting where your keen skills harmonize with a community that treasures innovation and compassion—a space where every lab report tells a story of recovery and hope. If you're passionate about a career that values precision, teamwork, and empathy, we are excited to meet you.

Apply now and be part of a journey where science not only saves lives—it is a deeply human experience.
