Sleever/Caser OperatorDarigold is seeking a Sleever/Caser Operator for their aseptic Sidel filling line. Sleever/Caser Operator must be motivated and desire to be a member of a self-activating team that works safely and drives quality on the production line. The ideal candidates for this role excel in a fast paced, rigorous environment and thrive in a team based work setting.This position is responsible for following all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold's Good Manufacturing Policy, the position Standard Operating Procedures and facility employee training sessions. The position is also required to report any concerns that may impact Food Safety or Quality to their immediate supervisor, the plant Quality Manager or the Plant Manager.The Sidel Caser/Sleever Operator is responsible for:Safe, efficient operation of the Packaging Line machines and equipmentInspecting and monitoring sleeving and casing operations to ensure specifications are metEnsuring proper code markings and labelling along with any other criteria deemed necessary by production or qualityMaintaining and monitoring any required inventory necessary to the filling and packaging processMaintaining organization of the work area and perform ongoing cleaning tasks in compliance with good manufacturing and warehouse practicesResponsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment as requiredAssisting Maintenance team members in routine maintenance and repairsCollecting information and completing any required production reports accurately; maintaining any necessary paperwork in good orderMaintaining efficiency standards set for the operating areaInventory Tracking and ReconciliationOrganization of Storage and Sleeving/Casing AreaLoading packaging inputs to the caser/sleeverMaintenance of Sanitation in the WorkWhat You Will Bring:Must be able to continuously stand, walk, flex, stretch, twist and move throughout the area for 8 to 12 hoursMust be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently, between floor level and chest level and above shoulder heightMust be able to climb stairsAbility to organize and analyze process problemsStrong oral and written communication skills; must have basic arithmetic skills; able to read and understand instructions; and able to write legiblyMust be able to monitor and inspect product and equipmentMust be able to master and safely operate pallet jack and forklift; Ability to learn and master scanning, batch ticketing, and basic computer useMust be able to follow instructions with minimal supervisionComputer experienceKnowledge of Good Manufacturing ProcessesMaintain efficiency standards set for the operating areaPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Benefits of Working at Darigold:Health and Welfare benefitsPaid vacation, sick and holidays401k matching contributionCommunity giving through matching donationsEmployee Assistance ProgramAccess to great dairy productsPremium pay for off shifts (night, swing) and vacation relief (where applicable)Our Commitment to Diversity:Achieving our vision to Lead Dairy Forward requires cultivating and supporting a team with varying backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
