Job description
Job TitleKey ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor all plant systems including conveyors, dryers, screens, and mixing drumsControl the blending and mixing of raw materials to produce asphalt to specified standardsPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plant equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtimeMaintain accurate production and maintenance recordsEnsure compliance with environmental regulations and company safety policiesCoordinate with truck drivers and dispatch to ensure timely loading and deliveryAssist with plant setup, shutdown, and cleaning proceduresOperate heavy equipment such as loaders or skid steers as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required, technical training or certifications a plusMinimum 2 years of experience in asphalt plant operations or related fieldStrong mechanical skills and familiarity with industrial equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and production specificationsBasic computer skills for data entry and control systemsMust be able to work in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not requiredPreferred SkillsKnowledge of asphalt mix designs and quality control proceduresExperience with computerized plant control systemsFamiliarity with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental compliance standardsStrong communication and teamwork skillsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
