Asphalt Plant/Loader OperatorValley Asphalt is seeking individuals who excel at multitasking and are looking for a hands-on environment. We are currently hiring a full-time Asphalt Plant/Loader Operator. Ideal candidates would have some experience within asphalt plant operations, maintenance background, and a proven safety track record. Successful candidates would be willing to learn, eagerness to take initiative, and hard working. Don't have the experience yet? Don't worry! We are willing to train and develop the right candidates!Asphalt Plant Operator Core ResponsibilitiesPerform daily maintenance and safety inspections on all assigned equipmentOperate a front-end loader and other heavy equipment safely and efficientlyAssist with loading, transporting, and feeding materials into the plantFollow all company safety policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with OSHA / MSHA regulations and site-specific requirementsSupport plant operations as needed with general labor or material handlingRequired SkillsEquipment Operation: Proficient in operating front-end loaders and capable of learning to run other types of equipment as neededSafety Knowledge: Working knowledge of OSHA and MSHA safety regulations and a strong commitment to workplace safetyCommunication: Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skillsTechnical Skills: Basic understanding of computerized controls and electronics used in heavy equipmentTime Management: Ability to meet production goals and deadlines consistently under varying conditionsAdaptability: Willingness and ability to assist with various plant tasks beyond equipment operationAsphalt Plant/Loader Operator Desired QualificationsMinimum of high school diploma / GEDValid driver's licenseWorking knowledge of an aggregate plant and aggregate mining operationsCAT and John Deere front end loader experienceMinimum of three (3) experience operating front end loadersAsphalt Plant/Loader Operator Working ConditionsAble to work in confined spaces.Ability to climb 70-80 ft.Able to lift and carry 50lbs and work in inclement weatherFlexible schedule with ability to work overtime, and weekends if neededEOE/M/F/Disabled/Veteran/DFSP
