Job description
Asphalt Plant OperatorIn the absence of the Plant Manager, the leadman is responsible for ALL site activities.Responsible for the Health and Welfare of the crew and ensuring the site meets or exceeds Safety StandardsResponsible for the administration of the Summit Safety PrinciplesResponsible for the safe operation of the plantResponsible for obtaining the maximum production at the plantEnsures that quality products are being produced within internal and external specificationsCompiles all data so that timecards, maintenance logs, production logs, etc., can be completedImplement the Plant ProgramDaily Production ScheduleDaily Maintenance ScheduleParts requisitions from Site ManagerCommunicate with crew members frequently to ensure best operational practices at the plantMonitors compliance with fugitive dust from the plantTraining Required (Kilgore will provide training upon hiring)Required Safety trainingSite Specific Training, including site inspection trainingPlant Operation Task TrainingDaily Equipment InspectionMaintenance logsProduction logsTimecardsOversee inspection and repair of plant equipmentRequired daily and monthly plant inspectionsAny safety or mechanical issues to be reported to supervisor immediately.Equipment inspection log to be turned in daily.Do not run equipment without performing the inspection.Equipment is to be operated in a safe and efficient manner.Operator shall not idle equipment when not in use. Turn it off.Equipment Cab and Control House will be kept clean, wiped down and maintainedThe plant operator shall constantly visually inspect plant operations.Monitor feed material coming from the loader to ensure it will allow for the best performance of the plant and the final products produced will be of the highest qualityMeet or Enhance Scheduled UptimeScheduled Operating EfficiencyScheduled Labor costsMaintenance costsIt is the plant operator's role to ensure that production goals are achieved. It is the plant operator responsibility to communicate goal progress to his supervisor and crew.
