Job description
Asphalt Roller OperatorDelaware Valley Paving is seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to safely and efficiently operate rolling equipment during asphalt paving operations. This position plays a critical role in achieving proper compaction, surface smoothness, and overall pavement quality on commercial, municipal, and roadway projects.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate asphalt rollers to compact asphalt surfaces to project specificationsWork closely with the paving crew, paver operators, and foreman to ensure proper rolling patterns and timingMonitor asphalt temperature, mat conditions, and compaction requirementsPerform pre-operation equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issuesMaintain consistent rolling speed and overlap to achieve uniform compactionFollow all job site safety procedures and company policiesAssist with general labor duties as needed to support paving operationsEnsure work meets quality standards and project timelinesQualifications & RequirementsPrior experience operating asphalt rollers preferredKnowledge of asphalt paving and compaction techniquesAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work long hours, including overtime, during the paving seasonValid driver's license required; CDL a plus
