Assemblers$ /hour Weekly Pay 1st & 2nd Shift AvailableJob DescriptionWe are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Assemblers for the 1st shift at one of our state-of-the-art manufacturing plants. You may be assigned to Plant 2, 3, or 4, where we assemble large HVAC units. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with voluntary overtime currently available on two out of four weekends. Overtime may become mandatory with notice from the production supervisor.ResponsibilitiesPerform repetitive assembly tasks at a designated station within the facility.Help in assembling large AC units for commercial use, such as in apartment complexes and hospitals.Adapt to changing work assignments based on customer needs.Utilize hand tools and power tools daily.Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and participate in safety training during the first week.Engage in brazing, soldering, operating machines and presses, and hanging and unhanging parts once trained.Conduct quality checks and tests on units before dispatch.Report any malfunctions or defects to the production supervisor.Progressively learn to assemble components inside the units and understand blueprints.Essential SkillsMinimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience.Physically inclined with the ability to bend, twist, and lift 40 lbs repetitively.Willingness to climb into large AC units for assembly purposes.Good attitude and eagerness to learn, as training will be provided from the ground up.Additional Skills & Qualifications1 year of assembly experience is preferred.Experience with hand tools and power tools.Electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude are beneficial.Why Work Here?Upon transitioning to a direct hire, employees can enjoy exceptional benefits starting from day one. Team members work collaboratively, with a lead technician available for guidance in the initial weeks.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kentwood, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
