Assembler PositionsHamilton Connections is seeking candidates for assembler positions on the third shift at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. These are temp-to-hire positions. The hours are 10:30 p.m.-7 a.m., Sunday-Thursday. Candidates must be available to train on the first or second shift. The salary is $23 an hour.Job Responsibilities:Accurately picking necessary parts for production ordersAssemble, check and package sub-components and finished products according to instruction, production order, work and inspection instructions as well as drawings in a quality and schedule-minded fashionPerform computer and administrative work such as order printing and label creationCoordinate transport arrangements with shippingMount items necessary for fulfilling assembly orders of sub-components and finished productsMaintain order at the workplace, in the storage locations, and in rooms of general useTemporary assignments as floater in different assembly teamsCooperation within assembly teamCoordinate work assignmentsHandle the more complex assembliesBackup line leader when neededProvide training for other assemblersOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:High school diploma or GED2 or more years of assembly experienceExperience working overnight shiftMechanical ability necessaryAble to work well in small teamAble to handle physical aspects of the job, including heavy liftingAble to operate computers and electronic test equipmentAble to handle time constraints and deadlines, and prioritize workAble to read and write EnglishAble to pass pre-employment screenings
