Job description

AssemblerAs an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the assembly of electrical and mechanical components. You will be responsible for performing wire assembly and installing components using hand and power tools. Your role involves conducting testing and quality checks, identifying defects, and packaging products for shipment.ResponsibilitiesAssemble electrical and mechanical components according to work instructions and specifications.Perform wire assembly tasks such as cutting, stripping, crimping, and connecting cables.Assemble electrical junction boxes, connectors, outlets, and related components.Install and secure components using hand and power tools.Conduct testing and quality checks throughout the assembly process.Identify and correct defects or assembly issues before final packaging.Package completed products for shipment according to company standards.Maintain accurate documentation and production records.Keep work areas organized while following all safety and quality procedures.Essential SkillsPrevious assembly or wire assembly experience.Proven ability to follow instructions or blueprints.Experience with hand and power tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with tape measure.Experience with wire testing equipment is a plus.Why Work Here?We offer a dynamic environment where you can expand your skills and be part of a global footprint in the wind industry. There are currently 8 people in production, and you must be open to working in all departments when needed. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturdays.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of DES MOINES, IA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
