Job description
AssemblerThe successful candidate will have previous knowledge within a manufacturing environment, be an effective team member and communicator, and be willing to assist with additional duties, as necessary. Employee performs highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with mechanical assemblies.Functional Description: Responsible for installation, maintaining, and repairing equipment. Must have strong troubleshooting, blueprint reading and hydraulic skills. Willing to work with all types of building and production equipment. Layout, assemble, test, and install, apparatus and equipment, working from blueprints, schematics, sketches, verbal instructions, and other specifications. Diagnose and repair trouble involving installations and equipment. Fabricate and install necessary equipment to accomplish tasks. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Align, fit and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, measuring tools and blueprints. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Installs, repairs and services specialized mechanical equipment, machinery, panels and wiring. Completes installations and does necessary testing to verify work.The essential functions of individual positions within the classification may differ. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.Training/Education Required: High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20 to $23.
