Assembler PositionDavis Furniture is a family-owned high-end furniture manufacturer who is a leader in contemporary contract furniture. We have been in business for over 75 years, and we put a strong focus on new product introductions because design is a choice.Business at Davis is thriving! Sales are up, so we are actively seeking new team members to meet the continually growing demand. This position could be assembling tables, chairs, or any other component that goes into the production of our product line.The Assembler is responsible for assembling and preparing wood table components and finished products according to company specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to use hand and power tools, and a commitment to producing high-quality furniture in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Assemble wood table components, including tops, legs, bases, frames, and other hardware, according to product specifications.Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary to complete assembly tasks.Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, assembly diagrams, and measurements.Inspect wood components and materials for defects, damage, or inconsistencies before and during assembly.Ensure finished products meet Davis Furniture's quality and workmanship standards.Measure, align, fit, and secure components to ensure proper assembly and product stability.Maintain production pace to meet daily and weekly production goals.Identify and report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, and quality concerns to the supervisor.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards.Follow all established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Perform other duties as assigned.Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities for Consideration as a Candidate:Must be 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious assembly or manufacturing experience (furniture experience a plus)Ability to use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, drills, wrenches, etc.)Ability to read measurements and follow instructionsStrong attention to detail and qualityGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityAbility to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environmentBenefits:401(k)Profit SharingExcellent health insuranceDental and vision plansLife insuranceShort term disabilityReferral programPaid holidaysOnsite ClinicDavis provides an excellent, drug free working environment and is an EOE/including disability/vets employer.
