AssemblerEaton's ES AMER ESS division has multiple Assembler positions open in Richmond, VA. The pay rate for this position is $19.47 per hour. Qualified candidates who accept a position on second or third shift may be eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The specific shift, work schedule, and any applicable shift differential will be confirmed when an offer of employment is extended. In this function you will:Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assembliesUse heavy industrial equipment, including cranes, fabrication equipmentBe responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assemblyUse various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair productInspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goalsAdhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulationsProvide process and safety improvement ideasEnsure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+Other Duties as assignedQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution or two years manufacturing experienceMust be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the futureNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitationPreferred Qualifications:Experience in production, packaging or construction, or equivalent educationPrevious experience with standard operating proceduresPrevious experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repairBasic working knowledge and experience with computersSkills:Position Criteria:Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facilityAbility to read and interpret standard operating procedures, wiring diagrams and bills of materialAbility to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as neededAbility to lift, push and pull 40 lbsAbility to use a crane once fully trained to lift itemsAbility to stand for extended periods of time.
