Assembler - Hose Coil/Pressure Test and Hose AssemblyTemp to Hire 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 11:30 PM) - (Mon-Fri) - Mandatory OTSummary of Position: Operate safety equipment within the Hose Assembly Value Stream to meet acceptable quality and productivity levels.Essential Functions:Shared responsibility for finished goods meeting or exceeding customer expectationsIdentify any special instructions or customer requirementsPull set-up sheet from computer to select proper tooling, crimp dimensions, drawings, pressure ratingsPull components to process orders and inspect tubing or hose prior to processingCheck all dimensions of hose and crimps being processed against the available drawings and/or crimp requirementsAssist in maintaining an accurate inventoryMake labels for hose product and properly complete production reportsPressure testing of hose assemblyAdhere to quality standards and guidelinesMaintain accurate recordsMaintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion; follow 5s practicesDetect and report problem areas or unusual conditions to the Value Stream Team LeadPerform related and other duties assigned by the Value Stream Team LeadDepartment Specific/Non-Essential Functions:Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environmentNotify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities, and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental riskReport all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediatelyPrevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient mannerParticipate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-SOther duties may be assigned at a later timeMinimum Requirements:Education required: High School diploma or GEDExperience: Production work preferred but not requiredOn-the-job training: 1 to 8 weeks, or up to 10 weeks if neededPreferred Skills/Qualifications:Good verbal and interpersonal communication skillsSound decision-making skillsGood math, reading, and writing skillsAbility to maintain continuous mental, visual, and audio attentionAbility to work well in a team environmentSkills/Competencies:1. Basic computer skills2. Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action3. Vision: Near acuity and accommodation for reading information to perform job tasks4.
