Assembler ILocation: Duluth, GA Department: Operations Reports to: Sr. Team Lead / Production Manager Direct Reports: None - Type: Full-Time Status: Non-Exempt Schedule: M-Th – 6:00am – 4:30pm Compensation: $ per hourThe RoleWe're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Assembler I to join our Production team at IPA's headquarters in Duluth, GA. In this hands-on role, you'll assemble and install components that become part of our innovative linen and specialty uniform distribution equipment used by healthcare organizations across the country.Success in this role requires a strong commitment to quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Whether you're building equipment, maintaining an organized workspace, or helping the team meet production deadlines, your work directly contributes to delivering reliable products that support our customers' success.If you enjoy working with your hands, take pride in producing quality work, and thrive in a collaborative manufacturing environment, we'd love to meet you.What You'll DoAssemble and sub-assemble components into IPA's linen and specialty uniform distribution equipment according to work instructions and production schedules.Verify the quality and completeness of assemblies throughout the production process before final sign-off.Safely operate hand tools and battery-powered tools while following all company safety procedures.Read and follow blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate builds.Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area by applying 5S principles.Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase safety, quality, and production efficiency.Communicate proactively with supervisors and teammates regarding production status, material needs, or quality concerns.Assist with additional production activities as needed to support customer delivery schedules.Help maintain a positive, team-oriented production environment focused on quality and operational excellence.What You BringHigh school diploma or GED.At least three months of manufacturing, assembly, production, or related experience.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Dependable work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience safely using hand tools and battery-operated power tools.Ability to read blueprints and follow assembly instructions.Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate production software.Understanding of workplace safety practices in a manufacturing environment.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.You'll Excel If YouTake pride in building quality products and getting the job done right the first time.Prioritize safety in every task and contribute to a safe workplace for your teammates.Work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting production deadlines.Keep your workspace organized and understand the value of 5S principles.Communicate openly and work collaboratively to keep production moving.Enjoy learning new processes and finding ways to improve quality and efficiency.What We OfferFour-day workweek with three-day weekends (Monday–Thursday schedule).On-the-job training and opportunities to develop your manufacturing skills.A collaborative production environment where teamwork and quality matter.Opportunities for growth and advancement within Operations.Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.The opportunity to build products that make a meaningful impact in healthcare facilities nationwide.Why Join IPA?At IPA, you're not just joining a company—you're joining a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to improving infection prevention and operational efficiency in healthcare.
