Assembler I - Fiberglass FinisherSince 1982, Goldshield has set the bar in the fiberglass industry. Our facility is located in Decatur, Indiana, where we manufacture fiberglass parts for Fleetwood, Honda, and Daimler. Goldshield also manufactures fiberglass for school buses, emergency vehicles and heavy-duty trucks. Goldshield is part of Terex Corporation, a global designer and manufacturer of specialized vehicles and equipment, including fire and emergency vehicles, waste and recycling equipment, RV's, and machinery supporting construction, utilities, and infrastructure. With operations across the U.S. and globally, we are committed to safety, innovation, and quality while building products our customers depend on every day.A day in the life of a Finisher at Goldshield: Sanding and buffing fiberglass parts to restore them to the required shape, design, and quality standard. Finishing parts at assigned workstations while meeting customer requirements. Applying knowledge of Class A and Class C finish requirements. Inspecting finished work and helping reduce returns or rework. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.Required education, skills, and experience to be successful: Preferred 1-year experience in finishing, sanding, buffing, fiberglass, paint prep, or manufacturing. Preferred high school diploma or GED. Ability to complete required Goldshield training certification. Knowledge of Class A and Class C finish expectations preferred. Ability to meet customer quality requirements and production standards. Successful completion of the drug and background screening.Physical demands in this role: The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
