Assembler I / GrinderPrideStaff is currently seeking an Assembler I/Grinder for a manufacturing company located in Pomona, CA. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.Pay Range: $20-21Shift: M-F 6:00am to 2:30pm (some Saturdays may be required)Position Summary: Under the close supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Assembler I assembles parts and machines using physical strength and a variety of hand and power tools. Will also grind parts with hand grinder for a large portion of the day.Essential Job Duties:Will be using hand grinders and hand tools to sand, buff, and grind large parts.Assemble machine parts and components using a variety of hand and power toolsFollow mechanical blueprint instructions to assemble machines and verify detailingAdvise the Lead or Supervisor of all problemsFollows specific directions assembling machines and detailing of partsScan jobs into the Made2Manage (M2M) and traveler systemsFollow all safety procedures in handling equipment and machinesDistinguish between parts and the detailingMust meet deadlinesRequirements:Must be willing to submit to a clinic drug test and physical prior to startHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMust have related manufacturing experienceMust have experience in assembling large parts of equipmentMust have experience in hand grinder parts.Mechanical ability and knowledge of toolsAbility to read blueprints and tape measureRequires minimum guidance to assemble machinesMust be willing to submit to criminal background check prior to startCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $21.00 Per HourAll compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
