Aerospace Assembly TechnicianShift Time: 5:30AM-2:00PMThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Please confirm this candidate has their documentation to confirm Citizenship. They'll need to bring this with them on their first day of work at Eaton.Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionPreferred Qualifications:Previous work experience in the Aerospace industryOne (1) year previous work experience in a manufacturing environmentPosition Criteria:Communicate effectively and work well in a team environmentAbility to work from written instructions such as blueprints or other work instructionsAbility to solder, experience working in manufacturingAbility to interact and participate in a team driven cultureTeam player and able to multi-taskAssembly using basic handheld and power toolsThis position is responsible for the assembly of sub-assemblies and top level assemblies fuel components while working from verbal instructions, blueprints, operation sketches and assembly drawings. Position will work closely with other Assembly Technicians and assist Manufacturing Engineering when needed to support the development work instructions, tools and fixtures.Essential Functions May Include:Assemble fuel components per drawing requirementsMay disassemble and assemble product that is returned for repairUtilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, micrometers, calipers and indicatorsUse routing sheets, operating instruction sheets or other documentation to ensure proper assembly of parts. Perform visual inspection of units during the assembly process and at completion of assembled units.Ensure activities are performed correctly and proper tooling and documentation is usedDetermine tooling and special gauging required to complete workMay perform verification as an operator/inspector for others in the departmentComply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.Perform Lean Initiatives including Continuous ImprovementPerform other related duties as assigned
