Job description
Assembler 1Assembles of a wide variety of products and sub-assemblies using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and air tools. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work to provide high quality products completed and delivered in a timely manner.Essential functions include:Assembles product using basic hand tools and techniquesReads, understands, communicates, and interprets written and verbal instructions, work documentation, policies and practices, etc., which are written in the English languageFollows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possibleMaintains a clean, safe working environmentPerforms other duties as requestedQualifications include:One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competencySkills and abilities include:Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtractingAbility to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goalsPhysical demands include:Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistRequired to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shiftThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
