Assembler II - 2nd ShiftEaton's AER FMC division is currently seeking an Assembler II - 2nd Shift at our Irvine, CA plant. This role aligns to a 2nd shift, with core hours of 2:30pm - 10:30pm Monday - Friday.The hourly rate for this position is $22.50/ hour plus $1/ hour shift differential per hour. This role is also eligible for a variable pay incentive.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll Do:Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand tools and power toolsDisassemble and assemble product that is returned for repairUtilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, micrometers, calipers and indicatorsUse routing sheets, operating instruction sheets or other documentation to ensure proper assembly of parts. Perform visual inspection of units during the assembly process and at completion of assembled units.May perform verification as an operator/inspector for others in the departmentInspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirementsDetermine tooling and special gauging required to complete workComply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.Perform other related duties as assignedQualifications:Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionMinimum of 2 year previous work experience in mechanical assemblyThis position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Irvine, CA in order to be considered.
