Assembler IIAn Amazing Career Opportunity for an Assembler II!! Location: Austin, TX Job ID: 50551 Responsible for assembling, testing, and completing ID card printer systems and subassemblies in a production environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow standardized work instructions, and a focus on quality and throughput. The Assembler II is expected to work independently on assigned builds, perform basic troubleshooting, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Who are we? We are a high-tech software company headquartered in Austin, TX, with over 4,500 worldwide employees.As our Assembler III, you'll support HID's success by:Performing electro-mechanical assembly of ID card printers and subassemblies following detailed work instructions, bills of material (BOM), and production travelers.Assembling mechanical and electrical components including frames, harnesses, motors, print mechanisms, and related hardware using standard hand and power tools.Completing product builds with a high level of accuracy, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and configuration per specifications.Executing functional testing and basic troubleshooting to validate product performance and identify defects or build issues.Recording production data accurately, including build status, test results, and quality checks.Identifying and escalating quality or material issues to support first-pass yield and continuous improvement efforts.Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with 5S and safety standards.Collaborating with team members, leads, and support functions (quality, engineering, materials) to meet daily production targets.Supporting rework, repair, and process improvement activities as needed.Your Experience and Background include:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)1-2 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience preferredExperience in high-mix / low to medium volume assembly environments preferredAbility to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, specifications, international technical standards, blueprints, written instructions, etc.What we can offer you:Competitive salary and rewards packageCompetitive benefits and annual leave offering, allowing for work-life balanceA vibrant, welcoming & inclusive cultureExtensive career development opportunities and resources to maximize your potentialTo be a part of a global organization that is pioneering the hardware, software and services that allow people to confidently navigate the physical and digital worldsHID does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
