Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assembler II to perform detailed PCB and electronic assembly work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves working from engineering drawings and work instructions, assembling and inspecting thru-hole components, using hand tools and specialized equipment, and ensuring all work meets quality and IPC standards.
The ideal candidate has strong manual dexterity, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience with PCB assembly and precision manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate automated and manual preparation equipment.
Assemble and install thru-hole components, including capacitors, resistors, ICs, and connectors.
Read and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly specifications.
Use hand tools and specialized equipment for assembly and minor part-fitting tasks, including filing and crimping.
De-panel individual circuit boards from arrays as required.
Create and apply labels, including serial numbers and revision identifiers.
Perform high-volume and repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Inspect completed work to ensure products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.
Perform basic troubleshooting and identify assembly or quality issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Work closely with team members and senior personnel to meet production and quality goals.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2-4 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing, preferably PCB/electronic assembly.
Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions in English.
Ability to interpret basic technical drawings and assembly documentation.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Excellent manual dexterity for handling small components and performing precision assembly.
Experience using a variety of hand tools and assembly equipment.
Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and techniques.
IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification preferred, but not required.
