Job description
Assembler IIWe are looking for an Assembler II to join our team!As an Assembler II, you are mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools, and able to learn new manufacturing processes and equipment. You will have prior experience with manual or power tools, machining equipment, or manufacturing processes is preferred; however, if candidates do not need to be experts in all equipment or processes. Training and development may include the use of lathes, drills, mills, threaders, saws, bead blasters, Sanders, and processes such as welding, brazing, micro-TIG welding, laser welding, and spot welding. You will apply some advanced skills to the position of specialization. You will perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled operations required to manufacture small, intricate and delicate components. You will provide direct support of sales, engineering and production for the fabrication and testing of prototypes and products. Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Your Challenge:Assemble components, subassemblies, and configured products using drawings, process instructions, specialized tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment, and tools.Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, operations sheets, visual aids, and standard work instructions.Set up and operate automatic prepping, loading, insertion, or related assembly equipment as assigned.Perform rework from test failures in accordance with standard repair procedures and incorporate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) into completed assemblies.Verify product quality at required intervals and confirm accuracy of completed work.What You Bring:Due to the nature of work performed at this site, incumbents must be a U.S. Person.High school diploma or equivalent, technical certificate, or equivalent experience.Typically 2-4 years of assembly, production, manufacturing, or related experience.Ability to interpret drawings, work instructions, parts lists, and operating procedures.Experience using tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment.Strong documentation, teamwork, and attention to detail.Curtiss Wright Round Rock is a global engineering and design manufacture leader with just over six decades of experience designing for heavily regulated markets, such as nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, and more.
