Job description
Medical Device Production SpecialistThis role involves the production of high-quality medical devices primarily in a clean room environment. Responsibilities include the formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations, production of medical devices using a microscope, and the operation of various equipment and machinery. The position requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and contributes to the delivery of sterile and non-sterile finished goods.ResponsibilitiesOperate machinery to produce medical devices that meet specifications.Follow manufacturing instructions and update relevant job documentation accurately for traceability.Prepare products for packing and sterilization.Inspect products using a microscope.Set up coating machines and coat, inspect, and fold balloon catheters.Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations and test them.Package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.Identify supplies that need replenishing.Build components needed for top-level work orders.Complete necessary cleaning activities.Essential SkillsProficiency in English at a medium level.Willingness to work overtime.Comfortable working with chemicals.Experience in medical device manufacturing, ideally with microscopes (1+ year).Familiarity with cleanroom and gowning/degowning processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent education.Experience in pharmaceutical or aseptic environments.Microscope experience is preferred.Why Work Here?Join a forward-thinking company with growth potential as the product is working towards FDA approval in the US this year. The work schedule includes two 30-minute breaks, one off the clock for lunch and one on the clock. The facility operates with a focus on safety and efficiency, adhering to strict cleanroom protocols.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
