Job description
AssemblerWe are seeking an assembler who will utilize blueprints or work instructions to assemble pre-fabricated parts. This role involves performing various hand work such as decaling and masking, and assembling parts. You will position precut frame members and purchased parts, and rivet or bolt members together to assemble walls, floors, cabs, shelving, and roof frames. Additionally, you will fasten together body subassemblies, such as cabs, side frames, floors, doors, and hoods, to assemble vehicle bodies and truck cabs preparatory to the body welding process.ResponsibilitiesPosition and fasten together body subassemblies like doors, seats, and instrument control panels to form subassemblies.Utilize blueprints or work instructions to assemble pre-fabricated parts.Perform various hand work, such as decaling and masking, during the assembly process.Use hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.Read and interpret blueprints and layouts to ensure accurate assembly.Maintain pace with production line takt time of 40 minutes per vehicle.Essential SkillsExperience in mechanical and electrical assembly.Proficiency in reading blueprints or work instructions.Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.Ability to read tape measures accurately.Familiarity with production and assembly line processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with wiring and installation assembly.Understanding of mechanical assembly processes.Why Work Here?Join an industry leader in manufacturing walk-in van bodies, serving a wide range of industries and applications. The environment is loud and fast-paced, requiring the ability to keep up with a production pace of 40 minutes per vehicle. The shift runs Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, providing a structured work schedule.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loudon, TN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
