Job description
Assembler & Machine OperatorThis role focuses on assembling and inspecting high-quality fitness equipment used in both commercial facilities and home settings. You work with units and component parts to build treadmills, exercise bikes, elliptical cross-trainers, rowers, and strength and group training equipment, following established procedures in a collaborative team environment.ResponsibilitiesBuild fitness equipment and related products by assembling units and component parts according to established procedures and assembly drawings.Inspect assembled products and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during mechanical assembly tasks.Read and interpret blueprints or assembly drawings to correctly position and secure parts.Measure components accurately using tape measures and other basic measuring tools.Follow standard work instructions and production processes in a team-based assembly line environment.Essential SkillsAt least 6 months of general production and general labor experience.Ability to perform basic math, including addition and subtraction, to support measuring and assembly tasks.Minimum 6 months of experience using hand tools and power tools in a mechanical or assembly environment.Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with mechanical components and assemblies.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owatonna, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.75 - $20.75/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
