Job description
Mechanical AssemblerThis role focuses on assembling complex material handling and robotic automation equipment used primarily in the food, beverage, and chemical industries. You will work from detailed machine and assembly drawings, controls schematics, and bills of materials to build high-quality palletizers, conveyors, and related systems. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, precise assembly skills, and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the organization.ResponsibilitiesInterpret and work from machine drawings, machine assembly drawings, controls schematics, and bills of materials to accurately assemble equipment according to specifications.Perform structural assembly, mechanical drive assembly, fluid control assembly, guard and cover assembly, general mechanical assembly, and simple electrical assembly using hand and power tools.Ensure all work reflects high-quality workmanship, neatness, and acceptable efficiency standards.Engage in the reduction and elimination of non-value-added work by following established processes and contributing ideas for continuous improvement.Complete quality assurance checks in accordance with established documentation and standards (including Blue Book requirements).Accurately document labor hours, material issues and returns, material moves, and material scrap reports in the appropriate systems.Execute inventory reordering policies, including Kanban processes, to maintain appropriate stock levels of parts and materials.Prepare equipment for shipment, including machine teardown and any required disassembly or packaging steps.Collaborate with assembly teams of 26 people to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.Work safely on platforms that may be up to approximately 20 feet high and 70 feet long when required for assembly tasks.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a supportive, small-company atmosphere backed by the resources of a larger corporation, creating both stability and a close-knit culture. Voluntary overtime is typically available on Fridays and potentially Saturdays, with the possibility of up to 10-hour days. Occasional involuntary overtime may be required on Fridays or Saturdays, and this is communicated to employees at the start of the week. The facility is very clean and well lit, providing a comfortable and safe environment for assembly work. Assemblers work in teams of 26 people and use professional-grade tools, including Milwaukee tools, to build equipment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Randolph, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
