Whether you're an experienced professional, a recent college graduate or somewhere in between, IDEX is a place where you can apply your existing skills and learn new ones in an environment where you can make an impact.With interesting opportunities in engineering, marketing, sales, supply chain, operations, HR, finance, and more across more than 40 diverse businesses around the globe, chances are, we have something special for you.Position SummaryThe Production Assembler will be responsible for the daily work associated with the assembly of pumps by the Production Manager or team lead.Essential FunctionsWork on production line, pay attention to instructions from supervisor/line lead who directs the flow of work ensuring the pace meets expectationsMonitor metrics as assigned (production measurements)Communicate any defects or other problems to supervisor/line lead using data, clearly describe the defect in detail so that improvement can be implementedResponsible for meeting customer expectation of performance, quality, on-time delivery, etc.Responsible for ensuring that all production material is available on the lineResponsible for working 5S on the line always enforcing best practiceComplies with required use of Personal Protective EquipmentParticipates in operational excellence processes (continues improvement events, RIE's)Perform assembly related to sub-assemblies and pumpsPerform inspections to insure units are functioning properlyMaintain accurate recordsKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesExperience1-year minimum manufacturing and material handling experience preferredEducationHigh school diploma or equivalentCompetenciesPerform positions on the production line within established standard time requirements (to be demonstrated at any time, without notice)Calculate any required metricsUnderstanding of electronic assemblyHigh attention to detailRead and understand standard work instructionsMaintain tools on production lineMaintain and understand 6S on primary line, while respecting it for all other linesTrain new employeesPerform shop mathematics, read complex specs, and understand principles of pump operationPlan and perform multiple sequence of operations of the product linePerform multiple tasks at one timeSafety, Physical, & EnvironmentalOffice Environment (5%)SittingComputer and keyboard useStandingProduction Floor (95%)WalkingStandingEye protection – safety glassesFoot protection – steel toe shoesAbility to lift to 50 pounds without assistanceAre you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?Total RewardsThe starting compensation for this position is $25.55 per hour.
