Job description

Entry-Level Door AssemblerAerotek is hiring immediately in Taunton, MA! This entry-level role focuses on assembling a wide variety of doors in a fast-paced wood shop manufacturing facility. You will work with glass and wood components, use hand and power tools, and contribute to a production line where each person plays an important part in building high-quality doors. The position requires strong reliability, a willingness to learn, and flexibility to be cross-trained across multiple departments.ResponsibilitiesAssemble doors of various sizes and styles, including wood and glass doors, according to production specifications.Work on a door assembly line where each team member is responsible for specific steps in the assembly process.Use tape measures and other measuring tools to accurately measure wood and components before cutting or assembly.Operate saws and other woodworking equipment to cut wood pieces to the required dimensions.Use staple guns, hammers, and other hand and power tools to fasten and secure door components.Follow detailed instructions and drawings to ensure doors meet quality and safety standards.Maintain a high level of attention to detail, especially when working on high-value doors.Participate in cross-training to learn multiple stations and departments within the facility.Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while meeting daily output expectations.Collaborate with a team of 25+ coworkers on lines and at stations to complete production goals.Attend a daily 6:30 a.m. meeting and consistently arrive on time and prepared for the workday.Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.Assist with general production tasks such as packaging, material handling, and machine operation as needed.Help maintain a clean and organized work area despite a busy and congested production floor.Support continuous improvement by following best practices and adapting to process changes.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical or construction-related experience, including carpentry, framing, or general labor, is helpful but not required.Experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing environments is a plus.Familiarity with operating machines and equipment in a manufacturing or wood shop setting.Comfort working with doors, wood work, and general production processes.Experience with packaging and general production support tasks.No prior industry experience is required; candidates who are mechanically inclined and willing to learn are encouraged to apply.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a supportive environment that rewards reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. You will work closely with a team of more than 25 people, some on assembly lines and others at individual stations, contributing to a collaborative and production-focused atmosphere. The schedule typically runs from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a mandatory team meeting at 6:30 a.m., and offers substantial overtime opportunities due to high demand. The environment involves working with woodworking machinery, hand and power tools, and large door components. Eye protection and high-visibility vests are required, and closed-toe shoes must be worn, though steel-toed shoes are not required. The facility emphasizes safety practices while maintaining a fast-paced, hands-on, and team-oriented work setting.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Taunton, MA.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
