Job description
Mechanical AssemblerWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler with experience in electronics manufacturing and box build assembly. This role involves assembling mechanical and electrical components, performing wiring, and ensuring high-quality production standards in a controlled manufacturing environment.Attendance and punctuality are critical to success in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical assembly of enclosures, chassis, and structural components using hand and power toolsInstall and connect internal electronic and mechanical componentsRoute, secure, and organize cables and wiring harnesses following diagrams and schematicsPerform point-to-point wiring and basic electrical connectionsApply conformal coating to protect electronic assemblies as requiredInstall and label external connectors, switches, and indicatorsRead and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and work instructionsConduct self-inspection to ensure quality, accuracy, and completenessTroubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical or electrical assembly issuesDocument completed work and report any problems or defectsMaintain a clean, organized, safe, and ESD-controlled work environmentWorkplace Policies & RequirementsAttendance and punctuality are mandatoryNo cell phone usage on the production floor (devices must be stored in assigned lockers)Employees must comply with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control protocols, including:Use of facial ID system for access to ESD-safe work areasProper use of ESD straps and/or ESD-protected flooringAdhere to required dress code standards:Closed-toe shoes (ESD-compatible with straps)Long pants requiredPlain, non-logo shirts onlyESD smocks must be worn on the production floor (provided by company)Required Skills & QualificationsExperience in box build assembly or electronics manufacturing productionAbility to read and interpret: assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), work instructionsProficiency in using hand tools and power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, crimpers, etc.)Knowledge of electrical wiring, cable routing, and harness assemblyFamiliarity with ESD procedures and best practicesStrong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationGood problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructions accuratelyHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipStrong communication and teamwork skillsCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $24.00
